Mascot Design Challenge
The UTeach STEM Educators Association (USEA) is launching a Mascot Design Challenge to bring our community spirit to life! This mascot will serve as our creative, community-driven identity — appearing in digital communications, social media, stickers, and swag.
Students, alumni, and UTeach programs nationwide are invited to submit their designs! The winning mascot will be selected by vote at the UTeach STEM Educators Conference on May 19-21, 2026 in Austin, TX.
The prize? Bragging rights and recognition across the national UTeach network — plus your design featured in USEA communications!
Design Guidelines
What we’re looking for:
A fun and friendly digital mascot concept that reflects the spirit of STEM education and community.
It should be versatile for digital uses — think email graphics, social media, and stickers (not a costumed mascot- at least not yet).
Should reflect STEM + teaching themes — creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and belonging.
Design requirements:
Digital artwork (drawn, painted, or designed using digital tools).
Submitted as a PNG or SVG or Illustrator file (transparent background preferred).
Include a short description (2–3 sentences) explaining the design’s inspiration and how it represents the UTeach community.
Optional: name your mascot!
Design submission deadline April 1, 2026.
